Dr. Everett will be joining us for a few days in April, before she is fully on board starting May 5th! We are very excited to have her compassion, professionalism and fun personality here at Higganum Veterinary Clinic. She is eager to meet all your fur-babies!

Veterinarian
Dr. Jessica Everett joined the Higganum Vet team in 2025. After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Everett was very excited to return to her home state of CT where she has been practicing ever since. She has a broad range of experience, including general practice, emergency and critical care, and home euthanasia. She believes all pets deserve access to quality care, and she is committed to providing caring, thorough, and individualized care to pets during every stage of their life. Professionally, Dr. Everett’s interests include urgent care, internal medicine, surgery, and compassionate end of life care. She has received special certifications as a Fear Free Certified Professional, Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian and is also certified by the Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) in CPR: Basic and Advanced Life Support. Outside of work, you can find her on the soccer field, cheering on the UConn women’s basketball team, or spending time with her family which includes two rescue pets: a naughty pug mix named Phoebe and a sweet orange cat named Liam.
